Ranger is the bow class and the natural answer to any fight you would rather not take at melee range. Community class lists put it in the recommended solo tier because kiting lets it beat encounters that overpower a stationary character. One naming note worth knowing: the original NCSOFT eight-class announcement labelled this slot Marksman, while most community sites and the AION 2 Hub class index call it Ranger, so treat the two names as the same class.

Daevanion priority

Invest in weapon damage and critical chance nodes first, then a kiting or movement node. Ranger benefits less from defensive Daevanion points than melee classes because the intended defence is distance.
