Who Maintains This Site
AION 2 Field Guide is maintained by CT, Site Maintainer, as an independent project. It is a fan-run reference site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by NCSOFT. There is no newsroom behind it and no commercial relationship with the publisher that would shape what gets written. That is why the site is deliberately small: it covers the systems a new player actually meets, and it avoids publishing per-hour farm numbers or item tables it cannot stand behind.
How We Verify What We Publish
Every page carries a date and works from named sources. Where several independent sources agree on a fact, the page states it as consensus. Where they disagree, the page reports both versions and says so, rather than picking one quietly. Server transfers are the clearest example: the English announcement dates the window from October 14 while other language versions say no later than October 13, so the page shows both. System requirements are another: two spec sheets are in circulation and the page reports the conflict instead of choosing the flattering one.
- Official sources come first: publisher announcements, the Steam store and news hub, and the official product site.
- Cross-checked facts are those confirmed by more than one independent publication.
- Source-reported facts come from a single named publication and are labelled as such in the text.
- Community-reported facts, including tier positions and pet statistics, are presented as community reporting.
- Data read out of a pre-launch client is labelled with the build it came from, because those datasets change at launch.
What This Site Does Not Do
- It does not invent per-item stat tables. Published planning tools model those, and the site links to them instead of copying numbers it cannot check.
- It does not sell boosting, accounts or gold, and it does not link to services that do.
- It does not republish another site as if the claims were original. Sources are named in a list on every page.
- It does not treat a pre-launch build as the live client. Datasets from the scale test are marked as such.
How to Send a Correction
Send the page URL, the sentence that is wrong and a source showing the correct version. A screenshot from the live client is the most useful kind of source, because it settles questions that published guides disagree about. Corrections are folded into the page and the page date moves to the date of the change, which is how the Last updated badge works across the site. The address is hi@aion2.blog and it reaches the maintainer directly. There is also a longer contact page covering what to send and what this address cannot do.
