Wings are movement first, appearance second

Flight is the identity of the franchise and it is not decoration here. Gliding and flying are how you reach Empyrean Traces and a meaningful share of the hidden cubes, both of which sit in places that require air or a cleared mob pack to approach. That makes wings part of progression rather than cosmetics, and it makes a movement unlock worth more early than a cosmetic upgrade of the same cost.

Wing materials come from the dungeon pairs

This is the part most players miss. Every tier of the Expedition ladder splits its rewards across a pair of dungeons, and the wing material for that tier is part of the same split. You do not farm wings separately; you farm the pair you were already running and the wing material arrives alongside the armour set.

The four places wings come from

• Dungeon pairs, as above, for the tiered wing materials.
• Hidden cubes, where the Unique tier of the reward table includes a wing appearance item alongside the helm and earring skins.
• Collection and event rewards, including appearance bundles that ship with the launch reward structure.
• Wing enhancement itself, which consumes materials rather than producing them, so treat it as a sink rather than a source.

Wings have two effects: equipped and owned

This is the mechanic most players miss. A wing grants one effect while you wear it and a second effect simply for owning it, and the ownership effect applies whether or not the wing is equipped. Ownership effects stack across every wing you own, and they include Flight Power, which grows from plus zero to plus ten. That is why a wing you would never equip is still worth collecting.

How dungeon wings actually arrive: sealed

• Normal party dungeons drop sealed Unique wings, which must be unsealed with 10 Radiant Odyle before they can be used.
• The pairing is one to one: Kromede Wings come from Fire Temple, Forest Spirit Wings from Vakron Sky Island, Dark Veil Wings from Ferocious Horn Den and Blue Wave Wings from Draupnir.
• Sealed dungeons supply the Epic tier as Sealing Wings and Glorious Wings, each needing 70 Sealed Wing Featherdown plus 10 Pure Odyle.
• Currency vendors cover the rest: Nightmare Wings and Conqueror Wings from the Nightmare shop, Brawler Wings and Warrior Wings from the Abyss, arena and battleground shops, Talisra Wings from the season shop, and a Festa shop line.
• Hidden cubes and a level 30 quest add the remaining entries, including Aullaeu Wings at Rare.

Which wings to chase for your content

The collection is 28 pairs, not 28 wings

The wing catalog is 28 pairs, which is 56 entries because each pair has an Elyos and an Asmodian version. The tier split is 13 Unique, 7 Epic, 4 Rare, 1 Common and 3 Special entries that are pure appearance with no stats at all. Twenty five pairs collected unlocks the title Dominator of Dimensions, so the collection itself is a progression track rather than a checklist.

Wing enhancement: decide in this order

1. Pick the wings you actually intend to keep. Enhancing a placeholder is the most expensive mistake in the system.
2. Read what the next tier actually gives before you commit materials, because the step up is not always worth the material cost.
3. Set a retention line, meaning decide in advance how many failed attempts you are willing to absorb.
4. Then adjust for success rate and re-check the total cost at that rate, not at the advertised rate.
5. Only then decide whether to attempt. Guides that cover enhancement converge on the same advice: the order is choose, check, budget, then attempt.

Wing enhancement odds

The odds depend on tier. Rare and Epic wings succeed every time, so they are safe to push. Unique wings are safe to plus three, and from plus four onwards the rate runs at 90, 80, 50, 50, 50, 40 and 30 percent. That cliff after plus five is where the retention line in the sequence above actually matters, because the last steps are where a run of failures takes your materials with it.

Gliding and flight as progression

Treat every movement unlock as a progression milestone rather than a quality-of-life perk. A character that can glide reaches traces and cubes that a character without it has to walk past, and those are the cheapest permanent upgrades in the early game. If you are choosing between a cosmetic and a movement unlock at the same price, take the movement unlock and collect on the way to the next quest hub.

Mounts are a separate system with one flat speed

Mounts live inside the pet system and there are 207 of them, but one fact settles most mount questions: every implemented mount uses the same run, sprint, glide and boosted glide figures. There is no fastest mount, and any list ranking one is ranking appearance. What changes is the type bonus, and only the Fera type grants ground speed.
